Professor Bashar Nuseibeh

 I am a Professor of Computing at The Open University (Director of Research, 2002-2008). Previously, I was a Professor of Software Engineering and Chief Scientist at Lero – the Irish Software Engineering Research Centre (2009-2012). I was also an academic member of staff (Reader) in the Department of Computing at Imperial College London and Head of its Software Engineering Laboratory (1990-2001). I continue my association with Imperial College as a Visiting Professor, and maintain strong research links with the Distributed Software Engineering Group. I am also a Visiting Professor at the National Institute of Informatics, Japan. I am currently holder of a Royal Society-Wolfson Merit Award (2013-2018) and a European Research Council (ERC) Advanced Grant on Adaptive Security and Privacy (2012-2017), and serve as Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transaction on Software Engineering (2010- ). Previously, I held a Senior Research Fellowship from The Royal Academy of Engineering and The Leverhulme Trust (2005-2007) and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Automated Software Engineering Journal (1995-2008).
